Online Technology Platform
The “V.3” website platform is more robust and entirely geared towards a broadband environment, allowing for more simultaneous users, faster uploads, and a sophisticated analytic capabilities to track and quantify student engagement in learning 21st century skills.
Built entirely on the .net framework, the site operates like a “social network for creative skills.” Students can bookmark and follow their favorite student artists. Tracking student activity reveals opportunities for community development, identifying emerging talents.
The platform is adaptable to different academic/training knowledge domains that use project-based, experiential learning along with a focus on mentoring. Scientific fields that use visualization technologies, including computer science, engineering and medical technology, can use the ACME platform as a collaborative training work space. ACME has piloted a botany knowledge domain with the National Science Foundation. Film-making and game design, as well as art/illustration, graphic design, and architecture, are all viable disciplines that can be taught using the ACME platform.
